Instructor Training Course
The CEI for the IAHD
is a comprehensive programme which takes place over three days and
is made up of three stages : theory, practical training sessions
in the pool and open water training.
Conditions : You must currently be a professional diver (Teaching
Status) certified by an internationally recognised dive school.
During the course, you will learn to:

- Explain some of the psychological aspects that characterise
the physcially handicapped.
- Recognise the most common disabilities and learn how they affect
people diving with their own equipment.
- Via demonstrations and Pool and Open Water simulations, you
will learn how to overcome certain problems that can arise whilst
training disabled divers.
- You will be trained in the various methods of assisting those
who are partially sighted, have hearing problems, spinal injuries,
amputations, etc

- You will be taught how to adapt and modify standard diving equipment
to suit the needs of disabled divers.
- You will learn how to best get to know your students, their
needs, their attitudes, etc
- You will develop your capacity to predict and deal with logistical
problems that might arise.
