Begur
is situated right at the heart of the Costa Brava. In fact, the term
"Costa Brava" was first used by the
Catalonian poet, Ferran Agulló, at the beginning of the 20th century,
when he talked about the Cape and beaches of Begur. |
|
Later on,
it was used to refer to the part of the Mediterranean coast which
stretches from Blanes to the French border and in 1965 "Costa
Brava" became its official name. |
|
And that's
how this unique and beautiful corner of the world is now known worldwide. |
